GOLDEN SHOES PROJECT JAX 2018

Dyshia Maxwell, a student at Ribault High School in Jacksonville Florida will be spearheading a project in her school that will be exhibited in May of 2018. In 2015 she was directly affected when she lost her cousin to gun violence.

49 lives. 49 lives were lost senselessly on June 12th of 2016. We will be honoring their lives, telling their stories through their shoes. Our intention is to gain a deeper understaning of who they were, immortalize each of their lives through art and create a connection between the victims and spectators. They are us and will never be forgotten.
