The Golden Shoes Project started in Puerto Rico in 2012. With the help of Mayor Carmen Yulin of San Juan, the first installation was experienced by over 150,000 people.
In February of 2015, the 2nd installation was shown in Los Angeles, CA. This piece brought attention to the mass kidnapping of 43 students that were later murdered allegedly with the cooperation of Iguala's mayor, Jose Luis Abarca Velazquez, and his wife Maria de los Angeles Pineda Villa. In October of 2015 we showed our installation at Chicago's Daley Center. We chose Chicago because of the increasing violence in the streets of the windy city. Our latest work was displayed on May of this year at Unity Plaza in Jacksonville, Fl. For more information on our latest work : |
